Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of the Louisa County community, sponsors, and participants, the inaugural Lake Anna Rescue Lifesavers Challenge has successfully raised over $111,000. These funds will go directly toward the purchase of a new rescue boat and other essential lifesaving equipment, ensuring the Lake Anna Rescue, Inc. first responders are equipped to protect the Louisa and Lake Anna community.
“The outpouring of support from our community has been incredible,” said Troy Dillard, President of Lake Anna Rescue. “This milestone showcases the power of collaboration and commitment to public safety. Every dollar raised will help us save lives and enhance the safety of Lake Anna’s residents and visitors.”
The Lifesavers Challenge finale event, held on on September 14, 2024, featured ceremonies honoring local first responders, a parade of first responder apparatus, a water rescue demonstration, and special guest speakers and entertainment from throughout the community and Commonwealth. It brought together individuals and organizations united by a shared goal: strengthening the resources available to ensure Lake Anna Rescue, Inc. can provide life saving services to the community.
The funds raised will be used to purchase a state-of-the-art rescue boat, a critical tool for swift water rescues, as well as other advanced equipment to improve emergency response capabilities. These investments will significantly enhance the ability of first responders to provide rapid, effective assistance during emergencies on and around Lake Anna.
Lake Anna Rescue extends its heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to the Lake Anna Rescue Lifesavers Challenge fundraiser which ran from May 2024 through October 2024. This achievement would not have been possible without your support. |
